General Position Description
This position is for a primary/secondary tutor within a tuition business based in Brisbane. The tuition business educates a wide array of areas, but primarily does so in English, mathematics, science, social science and religion at a primary or secondary school level. Occasionally education exceeds this and tutors may be required to tutor outside of these bounds such as HSC and first and second year university.
Our tutors teach what they’re good at. In addition to the above areas, the business also provides services such as resume writing, interview skills, music therapy and more. This is by no means a comprehensive list of the services we provide but it does outline the main areas of practice.
Bright Minds Tutors does not have a premises, and tutors are required to do work from their own homes, and tutor at their students’ houses, or at a public location at request.
Experience Required
- High achievements in English at High School or equivalent;
- High communication skills including telephone etiquette and education skills;
- More than competent understanding of subject(s) required to tutor;
- Computer literacy in areas including:
- Microsoft Products such as Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint;
- Experience with teaching, tuition, education or children’s leadership preferred.
